Yesterday (22nd Feb) was another day of hell for commuters in the south. A snap strike called on the Tube & Southern Rail inflicted its 29th strike in a row. These events are of course not uncommon. Official figures state there were 322,000 working days lost to strike action in 2016, an increase of 89% on the year before.
Today (23rd Feb) only 24 hours later, Storm Doris is bearing down on the UK with widespread travel disruption anticipated.
We should therefore all be asking the question again – could we do things differently?
