What GCI is doing through the COVID-19 crisis

First and foremost, GCI is committed to ensuring the continuity of our services to support you during this challenging time. Our large, geographically dispersed engineering and technical teams are working around the clock to keep the critical IT infrastructure of our customers up and running. This includes health and care service providers, central and local government bodies, critical scientific research establishments, logistics and distribution companies, financial services organisations, and vital product manufacturers. 

With this in mind, we welcome the Government’s overnight announcements on special provisions for critical workers which allows the children of our IT support teams to continue attending school. By reducing the childcare burden on those of our people who have no other options than to send their children to school, we can continue to focus on keeping our customer’s operations and critical services running effectively.
