GCI announces new dates to its sell-out cyber-security roadshow
The leading Converged ICT Services company is sharing decades of security experience with businesses
30 April 2019
GCI has announced today that it will be holding two new cyber-security events in Southampton and London, driven by the increasing demand for its best-of-breed security solutions.
Entitled “Defence in depth - a layered approach to cyber-security: people, processes and technology”, these free events will give businesses an overview of how to ensure their IT environment is monitored and well protected from security threats. The exclusive workshop will discuss the tools and best practices required to detect, prevent, mitigate and effectively manage security breaches through strategy and technology adoption. There will also be demonstrations of end-to-end, incident-handling products, including Vector, ClearPass, AlienVault and ServiceNow.
In attendance will be GCI experts Andrew Napier, Network, Infrastructure and Security Product Manager and Neil Clegg, Director of Technical Services, who will share their almost 35 years’ combined experience and answer any questions.
Neil Clegg commented: “With the average cost of a UK security breach rising by 8% over the past year to nearly £2.7m, it has never been more vital for organisations to protect their systems and data. By holding this event, we intend to help businesses identify their weak points, recommend solutions and clarify what their next steps should be.”
The events will take place on Wednesday 15th May 2019 at The Macdonald Botley Park Hotel and Spa in Southampton and on Wednesday 22nd May 2019 at Eight Club in London. Both sessions include breakfast, lunch and the opportunity to network with peers.
