With over 20 years of industry experience and an award winning Managed Security Service, the GCI Security team are critical to successfully supporting our Cyber Immune System. Based at our UK Security Operations Centre (SOC), the team is made up of Tier 1 to 4 Security Analysts, experienced SIEM Engineers, Security Officers and our Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) for incident resolution. In addition, the GCI Security Practice work alongside our 225+ strong technical team enabling access to cross-discipline experts to assist in incident diagnosis.
Your Security Officer is your primary point of contact within the GCI Security Team and will regularly meet with you to discuss alarms received and suggestions for improving your security posture. Your Security Officer is also your first and main point of contact in the event of a breach.
Security Incident Response Team/Tier 1- 4 Security Analysts
GCI’s SIRT and Security Analysts work in harmony to analyse, contain, control and remediate breaches in real-time for complete incident resolution. The team is available 24/7 and consists of highly trained Security Incident Response Analysts led by GCI’s Head of Security. This team has mature process controls specific to different security attack vectors.
A properly deployed and maintained SIEM application should only trigger alarms when there is a genuine risk of a security incident. GCI’s SIEM Engineering team personalise the technology to your landscape, thus increasing the chances of detecting real threats. Our engineers have developed and automated where possible, to ensure your business is always monitored and protected. In addition, we continuously enhance and modify the system to evolve as your company changes.
