Converged ICT Service Provider GCI has announced its attendance at the Local Gov Strategy Forum 2018 at Heythrop Park Resort next week.
Held on 15th and 16th May, the event brings together the finest thought leaders and solution providers in a two-day business networking event which promises to inspire debate and add real value and insight back into Local Government organisations.
With its in-depth knowledge of the industry and the challenges faced by the government, GCI will discuss with attendees how they can drive efficiencies, deliver exceptional customer service and improve core government services for citizens.
Currently in the midst of a digital revolution, many government organisations are leaving behind old processes, disparate systems and paper-based methods, choosing to open the door on a move to a digital future. As the uptake of this transition increases, the need for improved data security rises to fully empower governments to build economic growth, broaden social inclusion, enable staff to work securely from anywhere and improve government services. GCI has worked on projects and delivered services to numerous Public Sector organisations across the country, most notably supporting the Parliamentary Digital Service (PDS) on their ambitious transformation journey that is enabling over 8000 staff at Westminster and Constituencies offices – including the Houses of Parliament – to be more productive, mobile and innovative, driving a digital future across the government.
Joe Murphy, part of the Public Sector team at GCI, commented: “As these demands grow for the Public Sector to better serve and protect citizens whilst building a more secure and productive nation, so do the opportunities to disappoint, presenting a key challenge. I think what distances GCI from other service providers is our understanding of the fact that technology is often the second most important part of transformation, with adoption the first. In the Public Sector return on investment is crucial, and our consultancy and user adoption services ensure that any investment made truly empowers users. We are very much looking forward to meeting like-minded people at the event and sharing how GCI’s innovative IT solutions can work for them.”
